Weekly seminars will discuss career opportunities available for students pursuing study in agribusiness as well as introduce students to issues that agribusiness owners and managers face and discuss how economic and business principles are used in the analysis and resolution of these problems.

Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:

1. List a variety of career opportunities available to students pursuing study in agribusiness and recognize key skills, background, and knowledge potential employers seek. 2. Discuss the climate of the world of agribusiness and explain some of the current and future issues that threaten the success of today’s agribusiness owners and managers. 3. Explore and examine a topic covered in or related to the seminar class, demonstrating a knowledge of the agribusiness industry, its employment opportunities, and issues and challenges facing the industry.
