The goal of this course is to study the devices and techniques used in fiction and to write short stories.

Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:

Demonstrated understanding of the genre. Examined and practiced various techniques, styles, forms, and conventions of the genre. Practiced a variety of voices to develop student’s own unique voice. Provided and received constructive feedback in an online workshop setting. Revised working drafts both intuitively and objectively.
