Program Overview:

The Drafting Technology program provides training in aspects of drafting using CAD programs and traditional techniques. Students considering this program should possess a high aptitude for detail work and spatial relationships, be able to work in a team setting, and have a strong math background including algebra. This is a limited enrollment program.

Program Outcomes:

Upon successful completion of the Drafting program, a student will be able to:

  1. Provide updates to existing drawings to company standards.
  2. Print/publish drawings to defined scales.
  3. Work in a team atmosphere to develop a company project.
  4. Store and document projects to company standards.
  5. Provide assistance to other company departments (as needed)
  6. Be proficient in company tools, ie.. company provided CAD packages 

Program Requirements for Admission:

Program Application Required

Take CSI Placement Exam.

Take CSI Placement Exam scores to program adviser for interpretation, personal interview and program acceptance.

Pay first semester’s tuition and fees to secure a slot.
