This course surveys Latin American history including the Colonial Period, Revolution and Independence, the Nineteenth Century, and the Twentieth Century

IV. Student Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:

Identify and write about the central themes in Latin American colonial history. Identify and write about the primary causes and consequences of the Latin American Independence movements. Identify and write about the central themes of the 19th Century related to national development. Identify and write about the causes and consequences of the Mexican Revolution. Identify and write about the causes and nature of the Cuban Revolution.
