This first aid and emergency care course is designed to meet the needs of individuals and groups who are in a position to provide first aid frequently. The course provides the essential knowledge and skills required by individuals interested in advanced rescue work. IV. Student Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:

  • Students will demonstrate the ability to correctly conduct
  • Students will demonstrate victim assessment, shock control, bone joint and muscle
  • CPR, rescue breathing and unconscious choking interventions for adults, child and infant
  • Injuries, bleeding, heat and cold emergencies
