Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:

  • Assess the quality of an infant/toddler classroom
  • Identify and use a wide variety of effective strategies and tools to positively influence infants' and toddlers' development and learning
  • Use systematic observations and documentation strategies in order to assess a child's development
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the characteristics and needs of the infant and toddler
  • Identify atypical children and modify activities in order to include all infants and toddlers
  • Demonstrate their understanding of the neurobiology of infant development through the lens of attachment

Outcome 1: Students will assess the quality of an infant/toddler classroom Outcome 2: Students will identify and use a wide variety of effective strategies and tools to positively influence infants' and toddlers' development and learning.
