This course includes computer organization, digital logic, processor architecture, input/output units, memory organization, assembly language, instruction sets, loaders and linkers, control unit, interrupts, dynamic linking and static linking.

IV. Student Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:

  • Define the component and how computer systems execute programs, store information, and communicate
  • Understand the connection between the computer hardware and the languages used to program it.
  • Implement and design for small programming problems using lower level programming language.
  • Understand the basic architecture used by all computers and explain the inner workings of a computer
