Program Overview:

This Teacher Apprenticeship Program intends to provide a pathway for students who have obtained or are pursuing certification through the Idaho State Board of Education and the Idaho Department of Labor Teacher Registered Educator Apprenticeship Program. The AAS degree is designed to be a stepping-stone for students, with the intention of facilitating a seamless transfer into a Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) degree. By offering this program, the goal is to encourage students to further their education and career opportunities while supporting the growing demand for qualified educators in Idaho. Through intensive coursework and hands-on experience, students develop a deep understanding of cognitive, social, and physical development while mastering instructional strategies that address individual learning needs. Students will be prepared to create inclusive, engaging learning environments that celebrate diversity, promote active collaboration, and implement effective assessment practices. The program emphasizes both strong content knowledge and the practical skills needed to make complex subject matter accessible and meaningful to all students.

Program Requirements for Admission:

Participation in or completion of an approved District Educator Registered Apprenticeship Program.
