Administrative Assistant, Basic Technical Certificate
The Administrative Assistant program is designed to prepare students with an understanding of the technical and human relations skills necessary for a position in any office. Students will gain skills to improve their lives and be prepared to perform complex duties by utilizing current technology in their careers. Students will complete a Technical Skills Assessment at the end of the program to demonstrate competency.
In addition, completion of this program serves as the first year leading into the two-year Applied Bookkeeping degree.
Demonstrate the ability to use Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word, to solve business problems and produce professional documents.
Demonstrate the ability to apply computational and accounting skills and use a variety of techniques to solve problems correctly.
Recognize and develop basic standards of professional conduct, and will learn they have responsibilities to themselves, their peers, and their customers.
Express their ideas in oral and written messages that are coherent, persuasive, and grammatically correct.
