This course is complementary to Cisco Networking II courses. This lab applies the concepts, knowledge, techniques, and best practices in a hands-on environment led by the instructor and working with peers and peer groups.

IV. Student Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:

  • Build simple local area networks (LAN).
  • Integrate IP addressing schemes in a network.
  • Implement network security methods.
  • Perform basic configurations on routers and switches.
  • Learn and practice network cabling, i.e. building patch cables, termination, testing, splicing, punch downs, and cable location.
  • Troubleshoot networks and implement solutions.
