Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:

  • Demonstrate understanding of greenhouse design, construction, and maintenance. Evaluate existing greenhouse structures, identify issues, and propose effective solutions.
  • Apply principles of environmental controls to optimize plant production in a greenhouse structure.
  • Select, propagate, and manage, and harvest greenhouse crops appropriate for the local area.
  • Identify pests and diseases common to greenhouse plants.
