This course provides both relevant instructional and clinical learning experiences for students in providing foundational nursing care including introduction to both soft and hard skills
IV. Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:
- Provide foundational nursing care that protect clients and health care personnel
- Provide foundational nursing care that protects clients and health care personnel from health and environmental hazards
- Provide foundational nursing care that incorporates knowledge of expected growth and development principles and prevention of health problems to achieve optimal health
- Provide foundational nursing care that supports the emotional, mental and social well-being of the client experiencing stressful events, as well as mental health alterations
- Provide foundational nursing care that promotes physical health and wellness by providing comfort and assistance in the performance of the activities of daily living
- Provide foundational nursing care that promotes physical health and wellness related to the administration of medications and parenteral therapies
