		This is a specialized course designed around specific weight training techniques for men’s basketball.
	 
		IV. Student Learning Outcomes
	
		Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to: 
			- Apply appropriate weight and conditioning program designed specifically for this sport
- Students will demonstrate appropriate safety practices
 
		V. Topical Outline (Course Content)
	
		Basketball specific agility/speed drills, total body strength training and olympic weight lifting exercises. The course content is dependent upon the specific sport’s needs as determined by the strength and conditioning expert, head coach and athletic director. The daily workouts are designed to incorporate the most current strength and conditioning programs, to establish and employ rehabilitation for injured athletes along with a priority to prevent injury.
