ISMT 120 Industrial Tools & Equipment
	Industrial Tools and Equipment will provide the student with the declarative and demonstrative knowledge required to safely inspect, maintain, and operate hand tools, power tools, measurement tools, torque tools, fasteners (nuts and bolts), and specialty tools that are commonly used in the efforts to maintain, inspect, install, and repair industrial systems.

		Industrial Tools and Equipment will provide the student with the declarative and demonstrative knowledge required to safely inspect, maintain, and operate hand tools, power tools, measurement tools, torque tools, fasteners (nuts and bolts), and specialty tools that are commonly used in the efforts to maintain, inspect, install, and repair industrial systems.

- ERAD (Electric Torque)
- HyTorq (Hydraulic Torque)
- Easy Laser (Motor Shaft Alignment and Soft Foot Identification)

- Describe the following measurement tools, Identify safety concerns for correct use, and Cite an application for each of the following measurement tools:
- Tape Measure
- Dial Caliper
- Feeler Gauge
- Thermal Infra-Red (IR) Gauge
- Vibration Meter
- Describe the difference between torque and tension
- Select the appropriate tool for an application
- Describe the application of tool use for precision maintenance
- Demonstrative Outcomes:
- Perform a motor shaft alignment using an Easy Laser
- Perform a torque sequence on a fastened component using a handheld torque wrench
- Install a 1 in Heli-coil in a steel plate
- Perform motor shaft alignment using a spirit level, straight edge and tape measure  
- Perform a torque on a fastened component using Electric Torque Equipment (ERAD)
- Perform a torque on a fastened component using Hydraulic Torque Equipment (HyTorq)
- Calculate bolt torque and/or tension utilizing a dial caliper, bolt identification characteristics, and a torque chart  
- Operate an Oxy Acetylene torch to cut 1/2in galvanized metal
- Operate a Plasma Cutter to cut 1/2in galvanized metal
