		This course introduces students to the philosophy, tools and methods of cataloging print and non-print materials using the RDA rules, the Dewey Decimal Classification, and the Library of Congress Classification.

		Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to: 
			- Perform copy cataloging and to understand the methods used to organize and find information in various types of library catalogs
- Understand the ongoing transition in the library profession from the AACR2 cataloging standard to the RDA standard
