III. Catalog Course Description
This theory course is designed to familiarize students with common diseases of all domestic species including dogs, cats, exotics, horses, cattle, and small ruminants. Emphasis is on modes of transmission, prevention, herd health management, and client education.
IV. Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:
- Recognize and describe the disease processes that affect common species including: canine, feline, equine and bovine
- Recognize and describe the disease processes that affect the following systems: skeletal/muscle, digestive, cardiovascular, respiratory, urogenital, immune, nervous, endocrine and reproductive.
