III. Catalog Course Description
Project construction teaches students how to apply the SMAW, GMAW, and GTAW welding skills and theory learned from previous courses in the construction of a comprehensive project. Students will utilize the blueprint skills needed to develop the original design of the project and welding construction skills for project completion
IV. Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:
- Organize the various projects to be installed into a workable order
- Construct the various projects into the final project
- Apply print/ P&ID reading,measurment,layout and fit-up techniques
- Prioritize the various projects in proper sequence
- Develop a cohesive team to work together in assembling the various projects
- Evalute and critique the final project
- Apply proper layout and fit-up techniques
- Construct a project using previous learned square, plumb, and level skills
- Be able to draw basic blue prints to scale with bill of materials and weld symbols
