WELL 255 Wellness Through Healthy Living
	This wellness course introduces students to all seven dimensions of wellness (physical, intellectual, emotional, spiritual, social, environmental, financial) and allows students to practice making changes in each dimension by establishing, practicing and reflecting on individualized SMART goals related to health and wellness concepts. This course provides an overview of current health topics relevant to students and stimulates awareness of personal health decisions and their relationship to optimal self-care patterns and lifestyles.

		This wellness course introduces students to all seven dimensions of wellness (physical, intellectual, emotional, spiritual, social, environmental, financial) and allows students to practice making changes in each dimension by establishing, practicing and reflecting on individualized SMART goals related to health and wellness concepts. Learning Outcome 1: Identify. Define the purpose of lifelong wellness.
 
 Activity: Readings, lectures, discussions or assignments related to the seven dimensions of wellness.
 
 Assessment: Pre-test and post-test
 
 Learning Outcome 2: Plan. Create wellness goals.
 
 Activity: Create SMART goals for the seven dimensions of wellness

 Learning Outcome 3:Practice. Apply wellness knowledge to act on at least three goals addressing at least three dimensions of wellness 
 
 Activity: Students will complete behavior changes identified in SMART goals for at least three dimensions of wellness.
 
 Assessment: Weekly participation through journals and/or self-reporting.
 
 Learning Outcome 4: Reflect.  Reframe beliefs and behaviors impacting lifelong wellness as a result of practicing behavior change to achieve SMART goals.
