This course is a co-requisite with MUSI 201 Music Theory 3. It continues the development of both solfege ability and aural perception of intervals, rhythms, chords, and chord progressions.

- Intuitively understand harmony and melody involving specific harmonic functions
- Improvise (singing) on specific harmonic functions
- Hear written music in their inner ear, facilitating a high level of music literacy
