- Describe the diversity of fish, their evolutionary history, and their roles in aquatic ecosystems
- Identify and explain the structure and function of major organ systems
- Classify fish using basic taxonomic principles and identify common local and culture species using keys and field guides
- Summarize key processes of fish growth, reproductive strategies, and early life stages
- Explain common fish behaviors and their ecological importance
- Analyze simple biological data and communicate findings in multiple formats
