		Plant Propagation introduces students to the many methods of reproducing plants both sexually and asexually through lecture, demonstration and hands-on lab work. Students learn how to successfully grow new plants from plant parts as well as leaf tissue, stem tissue and seed embryos.

		Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to: 
			- Demonstrate different types of grafting and budding techniques and describe their uses.
- Propagate an herbaceous plant from stem and leaf cuttings.
- Propagate a plant from seed.
- Demonstrate aseptic micro propagation techniques and discuss the process.
- Explain environmental factors necessary for propagation success.
- Identify proper tools needed and plant parts relevant to each propagation process.
