EDUC 230 Education Practicum
Designed for future educators, the 3+1 program coursework and assignments are situated in an internship/cooperative education model that allows students to apply learning and analyze the outcomes. This course is one of the practicums in this program that will allow students practical instructional experience in Pre-K-12 classrooms.

Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:
- Candidates will apply the knowledge and skills acquired through coursework and previous experience to actual problems, challenges, and day to day instructional duties.
- Candidates will complete a background check before entering practicum site.
- Candidates will implement differentiated classroom instruction.
- Candidates will implement differentiated small group instruction.
- Candidates will implement differentiated instruction for individual students.

This class will be assessed using a performance based project assessment that students will design in the Education class which it is paired with during the same semester. Additionally, the host teacher who the teaching candidate is working with will complete an evaluation as well.
